There are a multitude of different types of mortgage deals available. We will ensure that you have all the necessary information required to make your decision as to which one would suit you best. Here are some of the options available to you:

Fixed Rate
Rather than being variable, your rate is fixed for a period. This type of mortgage is the most likely to attract penalties for early repayment, especially whilst your fixed rate is in place. Universally, this is referred to, as an Early Repayment Charge or ERC for short.
Standard Variable Rate
This is the most basic form of mortgage. Your interest rate varies throughout the term. Standard variable rates are loosely linked to fluctuations in the Bank of England Base Rate. It is however, only amended at the particular lenders discretion.
Base Rate Tracker
Again this is a variable rate, directly linked to the Bank of England Base Rate. The rate is set on the first Thursday of every month.
Discounted Rate
This is again a variable rate but as the name suggests, you would receive a discount for a set period.
Cash Back Mortgage
The lender will “gift” the borrower either a fixed amount, or a percentage of the mortgage on or after completion. Usually, a cash back would be offered as an incentive to first time buyers, or to assist with legal fees for instance.
